Yesterday I moved away from 15.3MPG ...to a 2011 Prius Five. This machine is like new with nice extras. Manhood still intact! contrary to friends' jokes...

    :)

Now I need to change my userID ... how can I do that?

Ask the site administatrator to change it. Reply to the same email that was sent to you when you setup your PriusChat profile.

Welcome and congratulations on your new car and having kept your manhood intact :) I am continuously amazed by the perception of what people think is the standard profile of a Prius owner !

Congrats on the Prius purchase. No need to worry about threats to manhood - PWR mode is still there when needed. ;)

I'll jump in on this thread as I traded a 14.1 MPG Armada (07) for a 2012 Prius Four with Moonroof / Nav package. I'm incredibly happy with this car so far. Thanks to all of you who have posted so much useful information. I've been snooping around here for about a month and really felt like I am better equipped as a new owner because of your shared information.

    Thanks again!
    Chris

The perception of the typical prius user back in 2003 and on, was a more matured individual that considered the environment and drove like a snail. I considered a prius in 2005 when gas first hit $3/gallon then but I did not want to pay for the higher premium on the prius. The gen 2 prius then looked simple back then, comparatively. The gen 3 prius is appealing and has a interior that rivals its competitors. There is no doubt a more mainstream user is interested in the car, not to mention its appeal to gas efficiency. That was the biggest selling point for me.
