I have 81,500 miles on the original tires, it is time for some new rubber. Obviously the OEM Bridgestones have served me well and I have no issues with getting another set. Does anyone recommend another brand with the same mileage?

    Thanks

The Michelin Defender will probably give you 50% longer life for the same price as the OE tires, but you may lose 5% or so in fuel economy.

The Michelin Energy Saver A/S should give you slightly better treadlife than the original Ecopias with a 5% improvement in fuel economy.

Bridgestone Ecopias were OEM on my 2010 Prius. I replaced them last week with a set of Michelin Energy Saver A/S. I was pleasantly surprised to note that they were significantly quieter.

I agree with The Critic. My personal favorite is the Energy Saver A/S for comfort, price (with the $70 rebate), fuel economy and noise. They are not the best handling tire but who buys a Prius for that. They will increase fuel economy over the OE tire.

The Defender and Continental ProContact with EcoPlus will perform better and last longer but will reduce fuel economy from the OE tires.
