I already bought one. Just contemplating whether I'll go through with the install because its "matte black." I kinda wanted a semi-gloss look. I also bought the 3M bumper and hood clear bra. Not sure when I'm going to install it too.

I'm fine with just having Sirius and didn't really care so much for HD radio. I've seen the 9140, it's awesome. I actually bought the 8120 off ebay. Found one for under $600. Yup, go for the 9140!

Hey thanks for the updated pics and tips! Your info will come in handy in my near future. I ordered the AVIC-z110bt, backup cam, and Sirius shit tonight. Hopefully everything will come in quickly. I may be calling on you in a couple weeks for some assistance!!

Did you do all of the installation yourself on the head unit. etc.,? Also can you provide any suggestions as to a great head unit without the navi - i just want a touch screen with sirius and ipod integration. Double din preferred.

Sup Etubb, yes I did all the install myself. Typical Toyota harness. As far as head unit, it all depends on preference. I have sirius and ipod full controls. Best thing to do is get it off ebay. Save yourself a ton of money. I was lucky I bought mine off a local San Diegan through craigslist. Anytime you need help, just PM me or ask here. Enjoy the RAIN!

Great job. I am looking to replace my head unit but cannot find the installation kit for the radio. Where did you get the kit from?

    Thanks

    Nice install!
I couldn't help but note that the Kenwood UI is not very attractive. Of course, I say that about the Toyota OEM, too :)

Probably just my Apple snobbishness showing, but MS has a nice approach too with abstract iconization as seen in the WP7 cell phones. Just not poorly displayed pseudo-realistic icons in garish colors :(
