Headlight problem

    I have problem with my headlight when I turn on during I'm driving it work perfectly for a while and the headlight on the right hand side turn off by its self , but when I turn off all light and turn on again it work fine and it happens continuely

    Please help

    I assume that your car has high intensity discharge headlights. North American cars with foglights have HID headlights. You'll have to figure out whether your JDM model has those lights or not.

    I recommend you do a search and you will find many posts from owners about this issue.

    Typically the HID bulb will need to be replaced. If you are not lucky then the electronic module that produces high voltage for the HID bulb is at fault.

    Just had this happen to me on the right side of my Prius 4 2010, turns out its a relay swith and Toyota does not have them in stock right now. They do not feel it is a safety issue to drive with one headlight out.

    This is unrelated to the OP's issue. OP likely has HID headlights. They never existed as an option on the 3rd gen (2010+) Priuses. On the 3rd gen, the only choices were halogens or LEDs.
