Hello everyone. I traded my 2009 Honda Civic Si with 20,000 miles for the PiP. I owed $12,600 and got the dealer to give me $15,000 trade in. That took some haggling since they originally only wanted to give me $12,500 for it. Just shows you how much room they give themselves. I negotiated the trade in after I negotiated the sale price of the car and was establish so that they couldn't try and monkey with that if they gave me a good trade in number. Got the PiP for $31,900 - $3,500 (Toyota instant incentive rebate) - $2,400 (trade in credit) = $26,000. I think there is also a $2,500 federal tax credit. I believe I got a great deal.

I have lots of questions but I will wait to ask after I read the manual today. I plan to read it all today.

I didn't think I would ever trade my car for a Prius but it made more sense. There is a time for everything. I still have my Kawasaki ZX10R for fun. But I was still sad to see it go.

    Kissing my Si goodbye :(

You may be pleasantly surprised when the car gets 2-3x the mpg of the bike while hauling your stuff and mates. (I hauled the rhythm section of my band recently: that's two guys, full acoustic drum kit, bass and amp. The guitarist with his rusty Suburban was not amused.)

Congrats', Yes, reading Manual is interesting, but its kept to the minimal in terms of Technical details how the plug-in-hybrid works.

    Try this thing :):
Drive your car and, throw your keys away from the car, see what lights you get and try stop and start the car.

Thanks. Found the PDF version on here and exported it to my kindle app on my iPad 3. Makes it easier to read in bed.

Day 1 and couldn't be happier happier. EV mode is intoxicating!!!
