    But what about how small it is?

    Or the fact that it couldn't achieve a 70mph through the slalom?

    Don't forget the use of hard interior plastics that makes the car look/feel cheap and inexpensive.

    And what's up with the acceleration? You'd think that with only 53mpg in the city, the car should at least achieve a 13 second quarter mile.

    What? No back up camera standard? The base model doesn't even have cruise control, let alone radar adaptive cruise control that every other car in this segment has.

    Sheesh, what a piece of junk.

    Will check it out, thanks. After the Consumer Report's fiasco, it is nice to read reports that are open minded, and offer useful critique. Of course, these forums are a fabulous source of information for those considering their next car purchase.

    It is frustrating that many auto reviewers do not base their scores on the intent/design/price of a car. Anyone looking for 0 to 60 performance, ride (this car only weighs in at 2500lbs - of course its ride is not going to be as good as heavier cars), etc is not going to be looking at an economy car. Any car that gets over 40mpg/city is not going to score well with any of these standard reviews. When I test drove the Sonic with manual transmission it accelerated faster but was rated at a lower MPG than my aveo HB it was replacing - about 25mpg city. I can get triple that when driving my Prius C - this fact here should make the Prius C score tops in any review that is based on the cars intent/design/price.
