Hello, I have a 2007 Prius at about 105K miles. A little while ago while driving, the following lights came on:

    1. Master Warning Light
    2. the circle with exclamation point inside (brake system?)
    3. VSC Light
    4. Check Engine Light
    5. Hybrid System Light on navigation screen

Almost immediately, the A/C stopped being cold. The next time I turned the car on, only the Master Warning Light and Check Engine Light were on.

I took it to the dealer and based on the age of the car, and before delving into the various lights, they suggested I replace the 12V battery. So I did. That cleared all the lights, and the A/C was cold again.

A few days later, all 5 lights came on again. Same problem with the A/C. Then next time I turned the car on, only the remaining 2 lights were on again. And a day later, I turned the car on and all lights were gone and back to normal.

So this cycle has happened a few times now. There doesn't seem to be rhyme or reason as to when the lights pop back on again.

Any ideas? Thanks for your assistance and input!

Have you had the water coolant inverter pump replaced as per the Toyota recall on 2004-2007 Prius?

Make the Prius READY and open the hood. Look at the inverter coolant reservoir mounted on the side of the inverter (the inverter has the large shiny aluminum cover on the driver's side of the engine compartment.)

Do you see fluid turbulence in the coolant reservoir which demonstrates that the inverter coolant pump is running? If yes, the pump is not your problem.

If you do not see turbulence, then the pump is the problem and needs to be replaced. That part was the subject of the recent Limited Service Campaign for 2004-2007 model year Prius (do a search for LSC on PriusChat to learn more.)

U can open the coolant bottle (pink fluid) that sits in front of the brake fluid, put the car in ready & u should see the fluid flowing. If u don't chances are the inverter cooling stopped working.
