Husband, Dan, has the Mech. Eng. degree. Villanova, 1980. He builds and buys and sells power plants for a living, flies around the Chesapeake on a sailboat for fun, drives a Prius to work. All the other engineers/managers arrive in new Land Rovers or european luxury sedans.

Sure, I have an engineering degree. However, most of the rocket scientists I know either have flamously cheap cars or really fast ones.

Proud to say I have a BA in English. OK, I have a minor in Computer Science, but that was when they had drum memory... Does anyone besides me remember what an 1108 was, and who made it?

My degrees are oriented towards radio engineering, but I work as a Sr. Software Engr. for a company that makes production testers for high-frequency ICs (e.g. cell phone chips).

Oh yes, and I'm a part-time robot dog wrangler.

While my title is "Sr. Software Engineer", I actually don't have any formal training. I have led teams to success that included as many as 2 Phds at a time though.

BSEE and MSCS... asic/fpga designer for like 10 years now.

i think the prius is the perfect car for borderline OCD engineers like myself. there's so much great stuff to obsess on with the fuel consumption / energy screens.

i think i'm going to try to get that CAN viewer stuff going on my zaurus... if i can find the time.

Wow, lots of CS and EE here... I guess that's not too surprising.

I don't have any impressive accomplishments yet... just a little signal processing algorithms work. This is some humbling company indeed. I wish I could say, "I'm a rocket scientist!"

I think I'm the only archaeologist here...but since I was trained in research I did quite a bit of research on the Prius before buying. almost a month and almost 1000 miles later and still no buyer's remorse!
