    a pair of 12 SMD panels in each map light, like I posted above. I did solder the leads together.

    I have a 2012 and I was able to just pop out the lens cover to replace the vanity mirror light bulb.

    I'd suggest wrapping your small flathead screwdriver with a thin cloth to not damage the plastic. I still left a little mark though.

    I used some black tape over the tip of a small screwdriver when I replaced the stock bulbs with 12-SMD led panels in each.
