No, although I know it may have nothing to do with the Reinvolt itself, when I called one of the mechanics at the company and told him I would feel better if I had heard more testimonials, I then asked him if he had heard of transaxles failing after the change. He said yes, that does sometimes happen. And while I know they have no control if a transaxle was already doomed before the battery was installed, I simply am deterred by the fact that I could possibly then be $10,000 in after 3 months of owning a 10 year old car.

I hear the devices under my hood going hard when having to charge my battery more often. This makes me nervous as to their capacity to handle all the extra gusto, and hopefully the ability to accommodate production of more power would accompany an upgrade...I just hesitate.

One of my old Graham miniscanners, one that is readable in daylight, goes on eBay auction Saturday. I'm also offering it with a 90 day, no questions, money back guarantee. It has enough capability to diagnose a failing transaxle as well as give you more insights to the health and status of the car. For good measure, I'll pre-code it with what I think are the best options and displays . . . Just a thought.

Of course nobody just buys something after checking out the return policy so they can test the 'crappy Microsoft/Android/piece-of-scat' and plan to take it back. Why that would be a terrible thing to do. <grins>
