Voice command prompt

    Is there a way to disable the voice command promt that talks every time you push the voice button? I would use voice commands more if this was possible. A simple beep with no explanation would be great, instead of having to wait for the voice , then the beep.

    Yes you can do this. It is one of the options on page 2 of one of the setup screens. I am not in the car right now... so I do not know the exact page. I am 100% sure that it can be done on a 2006 package #7 or #8.

    I was getting worried that if I met the polite woman who spoke those words I would be less than polite. Setup page two did the trick.

    Just got my Prius 06. European version. I can't seem to find an option; Voice Recognition Guidance on any of the setupscreens.

    I would be very grateful for furter info. Someone wrote that it can be done in the Phone settings if u have the non Nav version. I got the Nav but cannot find it on any of the setups screens. Maybe the european version differs?

    Did you use scroll down by touching the arrow button on the left side of the screen? It should be on the second page.

    Yes I did. There are 3 pages, non of them with the Voice Recognition Option :(

    Same here, got my Prius yesterday and the voice prompting before every command can be turned off. It's much better just to have the beep. Also, here is a list of recognized voice commands...
