Yesterday, got a message from Entune – update for apps available. Was in the middle of a traffic jam and attempting to get the nav system to route me around it, so said to install it later.
Now can't get the damn pop up to appear again!
Anyone else see this? Note that you obviously need to launch some app that will connect to the web (traffic, pandora, etc) so that it has some way to check for the updates.
    …Anyone?

Got it a few days ago. It was an update to the sports app that takes about 3 seconds. You can do it while driving.

If you remember, can you note the version number of sports. There were some posters reporting they got an OTA a while ago. Not sure if its the same one. I just recently updated my Entune to 2.xx.

My Entune system version now says 2.1.0. I'm wondering if maybe it did the update anyway?
Also, I never use the sports app, lol.

What did entune say before? I think they just pushed an old update for people who didn't have the car or the latest entune when they OTA'd it the first time in August: Entune app update (OTA) | PriusChat. When preforming the update it says what version of sports it is unpacking, but I don't know where else to check it.

On that thread it looks like the new version is 2.1.1, so I'm still on the old I guess.
Also tried starting the sports app to try and trigger the update but no dice. Argh! If you say later in that prompt, they should give you a way to easily return to it!!

So it finally popped up today again. Told it to go ahead, took under 10 seconds to both download and install (first it prompts you to download, then separately to install. gotta wonder what happens if you do the download but delay the install…do you again have to keep driving for 7 days and pray that it pops up on its own?).
It did install version 2.1.1 for Sports, that was all. System version still says 2.1.0, fwiw.

I have not seen the pop up yet. I upgraded to 2.1.0 about a week ago, with a USB stick.

Explain the USB stick thingy. Where do you get the upgrade data to load on the USB stick? Nothing OTA?

I think people got the USB sticks in the mail. My Entune is still on the old version, and when I asked about it at the new owners event, was told that if I didn't have the USB stick, they'd update it at my first service appointment.

Download from here. Unzip it into a USB stick root folder. Plug it in the USB port inside the center armrest.

I didn't get my Entune update USB stick but found that download link from here.

    Video instruction how to upgrade:

Did anyone catch the version number of "sports" that was updated? I can't figure out what they changed. Maybe they added some obscure leagues from other countries or something.

The Advanced updates are OTA, right?

All updates are OTA after you get the system-wide Entune update to version 2.1.0. If you're below that version, you need to be upgraded to it first. Just go to the dealer and ask.

Yesterday, I upgrade my Entune to 2.1.1 OTA. I normally don't plug my iPhone to the car, as I only stream the music over BT.

I plugged my iPhone into the usb port to use the traffic in navigation. It asked me if I want to use my phone for internet connection and I said yes. Entune upgrade screen popped up.

Has this been used on the PiP? That came from the Prius C...and I assume there are some differences and they may (or may not) be compatible?
