Can anyone point me to where I adjust the time on the GPS app.... It is exactly one hour off from the car's clock.... I don't see a selection for changing it. I thought it would change by itself using the satellite....

    Thanks,

    Mick

My guess would be a time zone issue, rather than a time issue. The time signal is encoded at universal time and then offset based on your timezone. So everyone receives the same time no matter where they are in the world. It is up to the user to add or subtract from universal time to meet their local time.

Nope, my time zone is correctly selected. This has been an issue only since the time change. Do you know if there is an option on the GPS to manually change the time??

By time change do you mean Daylights Saving Time? If so, then you didn't take the daylight savings time button off. It has now ended, so disable it.

The Prius is sold everywhere. Not all places have daylight savings. And then not all places that have daylight savings start and end at the same time.

You can manually change the time by disabling the automatic time. Then you have to set the correct time. As soon as you re-enable automatic time the time will be set. Your time is correct for the settings you have. You are telling it you are still in a place where daylight savings time is active. Which you are not. Therefore you are off by an hour.

And there are places where a time zone difference is not an hour but a half hour (Australia). Or places in the same state that don't observe daylight savings time when others do (See NW Indiana vs SE Indiana). But Delaware is not one of either.

It's not displayed with the Prius v3 (I wish it were.). Maybe it is on a different model.

The time is displayed indirectly through the estimated time of arrival. I ran into this issue while driving from Maine (UTC-5) into New Brunswick, Canada (UTC-4). The car clock continued to report the UTC-5, but the GPS indicated my ETA as UTC-4, which made it look like I had an hour less to travel. I'm surprised the car clock isn't linked to the GPS clock system for synchronization purposes.
