Replaced a 2003 Acura MDX with 126,000 miles and averaging 18 mpg in city and 23 mpg on the highway with the 2012 Prius v five with AT pkg. The Prius v is one sweet vehicle! :cheer2:

Replacing a 1996 Ford 250 pickup with a v8 engine, which gets about 10 mpg. I can't wait to stop buying gas all the time. Just put in the order for a 2012 Prius v five w/o AT pkg two days ago. Now I get to sit back and wait for 4-6 weeks for it to arrive.

Replaced a 1998 Dodge Durango with 157000 miles and averaging 12 mpg in city and 16 mpg on the highway with a black 2012 Prius v five with AT pkg. Only had it a little over 2 weeks and loving it.

Replacing 2003 F150, @ 14 mpg I'm saving $200/mo in gas. That's half my payment. Made the decision easy!

Replaced a 2003 Nissan Sentra SER Spec V. Car was great but we needed room for getting away on the weekends (with the kids). LOVE everything about it so far. And I have a feeling I'll be getting a few less speeding tickets...

Replaced 2006 Prius, again a similar theme, that was right up against its 6 yr/100,000 mi extended warranty. I did get the ATP and that included the better JBL radio/media unit. My work commute recently went from 15 miles one-way to 37 m o-w, so that helped push my decision. It was hard to find a five level with the ATP and the 8 spkr JBL in the Boston area. I ended up with a sky blue with all the neat electronics that I like. Having worked in electronics for many years I went for the max factory warranty, 7 yr/125,000. Neat car although not as quiet in the road noise dept as I remember my 2006. That may partly be due to the limited tire choices. My last tires for the '06 were Michelin Harmonys. Quiet and good anti-hydroplanning. I changed the Toyo Proxe 20 from the factory with Michelin MXM4's. Only slightly quieter, but excellent anti-hydro'g and overall grip.
Two questions: Is there a way to read the individual tire pressures as my son's new Camry Hybrid can do. Is there a was to read the voltage of the 12V battery as I learned to do on my 2006?
A couple of nice improvements are the door bottle holders now fit 24 oz sodas. And the rear, underfloor compartment is a place to securely put a star wrench. And, the nav screen now automatically changes to better color and brightness choices. The 2006 nav screen was too bright at night. And there is more pep, especially in PWR mode. Yeah. Toyota has been listening.

My new Prius v replaced a 2006 Chevy Equinox. Big difference in the MPG! Really can't say the Pv feels any smaller than the Equinox. Seats are more comfortable in the Pv.

Just replaced my wife's 2005 Honda Odyssey with a Prius V. The only good thing about that vehicle was the room for traveling with our 3 young kids. The kids now sit together in the back of the Prius and seem to really like it. Going from 18 mpg to 42 is fantastic and the main reason that I did it. Not to mention the Prius' reliability compared to the tragic history of honda's v6 transmissions. We're very happy. When my go forever 2003 VW TDi is ready to be replaced, it will be with another Prius.

The v replaced a 2011 Chevy Equinox. I think it was rated at 22/32 mpg. I averaged 21 mpg. The Prius v answered my concern with achieving higher fuel economy while retaining (and somewhat gaining) cargo and interior volume. My wife had trouble driving the Equinox, because of the truck-like hood height/length and dominant blind spots. The v is lower to the ground, it's easier to put a child into a car seat, and more "car-like" to drive. This car is still the gas guzzler in the driveway, because of the Insight. This is my first time owning a Toyota. I have no complaints, other than I wish Toyota would have included a higher res audio display on the models without the JBL system.

My Prius V replaced a 2000 Solara. The transmission started going out on the Solara and I needed something bigger so this was perfect.

2003 Honda CRV and a 2001 Porsche Boxster S. Each with about 60k miles and each flawless. Just ready for a new car, wasn't using the Porsche enough and there wasn't a Porsche mechanic handy. Made no economic sense what I did.
