new steering wheel for my Prius

    no wasn't. You need some tools (Torx27 and 19mm wrench) and disconnect the 12V battery for disconnecting the airbag.

    You need about 5 minutes for installing the new steering wheel.

    Wow! It looks great! Can you tell us more about where you bought it and how you installed it. My steering wheel is looking worn out and I'd rather not put a cover over it, I want a replacement! What you've done is exactly what I was looking for :)

    yes for prius 3 we also have steering wheels. In about 14 days the first delivery will arrive.

    wow. stunning. the most beautiful/tasteful yet comfortable-looking steering wheel for the Prius yet. the version for the Prius 3 (like that of the Prius C) designed for the two silver overlapping lower spokes... is is possible to get a version with the top and bottom non-perforated sections in a color other than black... maybe a blue? Resulting in a two-tone leather (black perforated and blue solid areas)?

    Does this include the 15 minute wait after disconnecting the battery to ensure the airbag does not accidentally deploy? ;)

    What about the use of a steering wheel puller? I've yet to meet a wheel that's slid off easily...

    I would disconnect the negative wire from the battery prior to doing this...

    With a small flat screwdriver, remove the 2 by 2 inch black plastic covers behind the steering wheel. one of them has a hole for the cruis control lever.
    loosen but dont remove the two torx screws behind these covers.
    allow the airbag to fall out into your hands.
    carefully raise the two yellow retainers on the airbag wires, then pull the wires away from the airbag module.
    then squeeze and pull the black horn wire from the airbag.
    to replace the steering wheel, unplug all the wires you see and remove the 19mm nut holding the wheel.
    then by hand wiggle the steering wheel toward you.

    Fantastic. What's an (even approximate) price? How would I go about ordering and selecting color options (like the same dark black/grey with blue thread, but having the solid center piece solid blue)?

    Hello madmarc !) need this steering wheel. With grey stitches building nice II GEN Prius. Got everything fresh but steering wheel is my #1 in the priorities left. Will buy it from you.
    Tell me where how and how much?) feel very comfortable with ebay.But there only JDM and only for III GEN Priuses.
