Do our cars come with pedestrian alert?

    As people say, I can only hear it in the car while near walls. It turns off over ~15 mph. I can't really see how people get so annoyed by it.

    I figure it can't hurt where pedestrians are concerned, so will leave it on.

    i would be happy with a temporary off button. give it a push and it stays off for X seconds.
