In that little trap door trunk compartment, I have a plug in so I put a big 100 foot extension cord in there. What about you?

The 110v evse, an extension cord though not anywhere as long as 100', golf sized umbrella, de-icing solution and snow brush for the winter. Oh, and microfiber towels and speedshine for cleaning up out of nowhere bird bombs.

I'm only talking that little storage compartment in the rear hatch, not the whole trunk area link Jimbo lol.

    That's where I keep:

    Jumper Cables
    Snow Chains
The keyed adapter to my rims' lug nuts
About 10-15 cloth bags I use when grocery shopping
A "gardening pillow" which is like a foam mat the size of a sub sandwich. If you need to kneel down on a dirty/wet road, this makes it a little easier
    An extension cable
Emergency underpants, pants, and a shirt. You never know.
2 quick-charge mini-usb batteries in there. Recharge your phone's battery with this throw-away emergency battery.

Then in the little triangle wedge opposite of the 12v, I have my movie theatre re-fillable popcorn bucket and movie drink. Still a rip-off at $3 refills, but it is only $3 compared to $9.

Many people view the Prius as a passenger vehicle, I use mine for cargo

Its a crap drawer to keep things out of sight for me. I think I have an umbrella, the PiP manuals, tire pump, cargo net. and other junk.

Nothing, usually. Sometimes the tool pouch I keep in the left lower rear compartment comes loose and slides around back there. I discovered that two folding camp chairs fit under there - very useful in the summer.

Jumper cables, flares, triangles, 4x gloves, 2x hats, Come-Along, 40' of aircraft cable with loops at the ends, tow strap, loop strap, D-ring, mud-trax, folding shovel, bow saw, 2x tarps, 6x ratchet straps, box of cloth bungie cords, ziplock bag of rubber straps (keeps the butyl smell contained), poly blanket, 12v utility light, air compressor.

Basically, all the stuff that's too big to fit in the under-the-seat toolbox. (Since you're gonna ask anyway: Tire patch kit, pressure gauge, stem/core tool, spare valve cores, 2 types of pliers, flashlights, scissors, plastic poncho, mylar "space" blanket, fuses, fuse puller, multimeter, notepad, pens, markers, tape, mosquito netting, Pocket Partner emergency reference, compass, utility knife, screwdriver, prybar.)

And the first-aid kit in the glovebox is a completely separate topic so let's not even start on that!

LOL. I'd imagine the OP's might be a little confused by now. The non-plugin Prius (ZVW30) and Gen 2 Prius (NHW20) have a fairly large storage area/plastic tub under the rear cargo shelf. In mine (I have a Gen 2), OTOH, I've got a jacket or two, an air pump, some stick on window shades I'm not using, a spotlight, some ice scrapers and some other junk.

What's the storage area for us on the PiP is almost totally taken up by the (larger) lithium ion battery vs. the small NiMH we've got. PiP only has a very modest storage area near the hatch for the L1 EVSE and a few other things...

First Aid kit, Wool Blanket, Jumper Cables, Tool kit, Red flag for long loads, Tire inflater, Rope, Bunjee cords, Cargo straps, Extension Cord, Male-to-Male cord for inverter, Drop Cloth for covering cargo area, Hand warmers. I think that's it.

Kneeling pad is a great idea, putting one in soon.

Is your bass box/tube in there too? Or you just wire it to your trunk somewhere else?
