Totaled @

The insurance adjuster is allowing me to remove the more advanced nav screen unit from my original prius that was totaled. It is a 2012. Any ideas on how to remove the nav unit from the console?

 

Yea I'll look at that closely. Most of my friends work on cars, but they live a ways away. Seeing as that I'm a cook, I'd rather not just reach in and get electrocuted. So I'm banking on someone whos willing to earn an extra 50 or 100 bucks in new York that's willing to pull it out.

 

Well I contacted the insurance and sad to say they are unable to give it to me. Basically if they removed it I wouldn't be able to afford the new car. The first car was 33,000, got it dropped down to 27,000. Had an 18,000 lean on it. I received around 25,990 for the totaled car. This was a little higher than blue book. Most of it went to the lean but about over seven I got together went to the new car. I'm not complaining its beautiful. I'd rather not turn this into a debate about insurance reform. The company is very good. The no fault laws are what truly screw everyone over. This guy just slammed into me in straight road rage, but said he was out of control. I mean over the yellow in the median, riding the dirt next to me for half a mile, then he loses control. Then the cop was a complete moron and didn't file what I said at all and just turned it into him losing control from the median. Still no fault screws me. I even contacted my lawyer, who is great, but he did the right thing. I can't afford it as a college student, court would ruin me on top of my loans. I got a decent car in the end, even if I lost out in the end.
