    Hi everyone,

After running with a Toyota Avalon for 10 years (and a Camry before that), I've finally decided it's time to upgrade to a new car. And after doing a lot of research, I decided that the car that would best fit my needs (city commuting with the occasional longer trip) would be a Prius or Prius c. I'm trying to spend less than $25k total, which makes the Prius c attractive, as well as it's higher in the city MPG. On the other hand, I've driven a regular Prius before and found it very comfortable, and wouldn't mind getting a used 2010 model, especially since I can get one with a backup camera, an option that doesn't exist on any Prius c.

Anyway, you might see me around asking a few questions here and there. I'm looking to buy around April/May, so I'll be doing research and preparing for the next few months. Glad to be here!

Well, I could ask for recommendations between getting a used Prius III or a new Prius c. :D

Actually, here is a question for Prius c owners, I know that the c3 uses the TFT display for navigation and entune, but I'm far less clear what the c1 and c2 use it for. Iv'e heard middling things about entune and normally use Google Maps for navigation, so I don't necessarily need to get the c3 (I was eyeing the c2), but what is the TFT being used for on the c2?

Well, I took a test drive of both cars today and the Prius III came out the clear winner. The c felt more responsive, but rear visibility, build materials, comfort, and passenger space were all worse to me. Going to do my homework and get a good used 2010 Prius.
