How to remove steering wheel airbag cable...

    Hello,

    Does anyone know how to remove the steering wheel airbag cable (yellow). I can disconnect the airbag but I can't disconnect the other end... as per the attached pic (from another member of this forum).

    I'm curious, now that you removed the air bag, where are the plugs for the steering wheel radio, phone & temp bottons??

    I'm asking this cause I will change mine with the voice command button.

    The plugs are the ones you see beside the airbag/yellow cable. Those are easy to remove.

    Blown airbag... burnt & melted wires... I wish to reconstruct as the factory set-up, but unfortunately I was not able to source the piece of cable (yet).

    I think the yellow wires go to the clock spring by the way I have anew steering wheel if you need one and I think there is I new clock spring on ebay

    Can anyone confirm if the regular prius steering wheel is the same as the C? I have also seen vendors claim that the Prius / Prius C / Prius V all share the same steering wheel.
