I live in Upstate NY (Adirondacks region) we normally get a fair amount of snow and the c is my second Prius. My first was an 04 model and I drove it for eight winters. I would definitely buy the c again. My first Prius didn't have traction control (it was an add-on option at the time) and I never had any problems driving it in the snow. I don't use snow tires, just all seasons. I am very happy with the c this winter.

I live in Michigan and haven't had any problems with the Prius C in snow--other than trying to keep the salt off of the paint.

Here are the things, in order, that I think generally affect snow performance for a majority of cars:
    1. The driver. Snow driving requires different skills.
    2. Snow tires.
    3. ABS & traction control.
    4. The car itself.

I've only owned one car that couldn't perform well regardless of driving habits and snow tires. It was a Ford LTD II where the engine and all of the weight were in the front and the power came from the back. If there was any ice, it could not go up even the slightest incline. In icy conditions, I had to find snow-covered roads in order to get any traction.
