    HI all,
My first post here so please go easy on me: -)
Last weekend I purchased an' 08 with 57,000 miles and am quite happy with my new toy.
As I'm reading on the forums here absorbing as much as I can about the care and feeding of these cars, I've seen many posts about inverter pump failures and the" recall".
As I'm not the original owner, do I have any avenue to get this changed on Toyota's dime? Is there a way to see if it was already done? I've pretty much expended all of my available cash buying this so I'm a bit concerned I may run into a high dollar repair if I miss out on some sort of required work on a car I don't know the maintenance history on.

    Thanks!

Toyota recalls are associated with the vehicle, not the original owner. One way to determine what recalls are outstanding is to provide the VIN to your local dealer's service dept writer, who can look up your vehicle. I believe that you can also look this up yourself on the toyota.com website if you register your car.
