Have 4G here with ATT but not LTE service yet. Not a big fan of ATT(n). Verizon does have LTE but I would lose the unlimited data plan. I have rarely gone over 2gb but you never know, LOL. Like not wanting to lose my thousands of rollover minutes that I never dip into:rolleyes:.

I got mobile hotspot on my S iii. MetroPCS charges me 60 bucks for 4G + 10 bucks for hotspot per month with data cap at 5GB.

A month ago, the Call function stopped working. It does not dial out. Just got back from a maintenance check and no one has an idea.
The PIP is different than the 2010 Prius, however Toyota people kept saying "call home", which is not one the PIP wants.
All in all, they have no idea.
I have put up a message that I thought that the navigation system changed after a few months. (both my wife and I noticed the difference), but again, I get a blank look.

Unless your cell phone phonebook data has HOME # loaded as HOME on the address/contact list, saying CALL HOME is a mystery to the car.

I'd refresh the cell phone contact list on the inner screens and try it again.

I'm using iOs6.1.2 in my 12 PiPa and Pandora works pretty well, most of the time. After having the Entune app closed on my phone, then reopening it, sometimes it takes Pandora a few extra seconds to sync up with my PandoraOne account. Occasionally I get no sound from the speakers after it syncs up, and I have to switch to FM, then back to Pandora, which solves the problem every time. I haven't tried iHeart Radio out. The calling functions work fine, although the voice recognition is inferior to Siri, and is VERY subject to interference from background noise, like the blower fan. That's more a function of microphone placement and quality IMO.

Also, I worked in the parts department at a Toyota dealer for over 4 years, and now work at a Lexus dealer. I can't believe how informed and helpful Dianne is!

Every time I use the voice command system, I'm amazed at how much better it works than my '08 level 5 or my 08 Tundra. Not perfect, but quite good. The voice recognition is excellent. I do not speak very clearly but this system understands me much better than my wife. Probably not a high bar.

The built in voice commands are very week at about 5% matching what I'm requesting search locations. So I have switched to using the Entune Bing app for location searching since its voice searches are around 85% or higher in matching what I'm requesting. Of course this is only for navigation since that is the biggest frustration other than this new 2013 having a lot less voice control for other things than my old 2005 had.

We have a Gen III and a PIP. The III uses the word "call" but the PIP uses the word "dial." That solved the problem for me.

I just bought a Prius prime 2017 plug in and the voice command was working and then just stopped but only for the music. I do use the phone pick-up on the steering wheel for hands free and it will play what ever I want. Am taking the new vehicle class in a month and will address this at this time. Hope it works for you.
