I am on *many* dealer lists

In the past 2 days I have been offered 4 of the TRAC demo cars (2 dealers)

    All have been package #8

The first dealer had a red #8, which is the one I test drove originally

Then another dealer said that they had 3 to sell. I didn't bother asking for the colors as they were #8s and I want #9

I asked why they were getting sold and they just said to meet demand

Do you think that Toyota told dealers to sell the TRACs to make way for 2005 TRACs?

I would think that with close to 3 months to go before the change over to 2005, now might be too early. Maybe dealers will be receiving new/replacement TRACs for the summer marketing blitzes (graduation, Memorial Day, & 4th of July).

I called around last weekend, at one dealership out of town they had a trac car available. He said it was over list, and was a different package and color than I wanted, so I passed. I was really suprised to find one at all, though!

i think they might be selling them because many have stopped even taking orders, and the prius seems to be selling itself

We were sold a pkg. 3 dealer TRAC car with 3500 mi. on it in March for a little over factory invoice(i.e. less than MSRP!!!) The dealership was getting a replacement and was just plain reputable.
