    I know there are many new PiP owners here (myself included) and many of you may not read the other forums on PriusChat. For those of you who are not aware, please direct your attention to this thread in the Gen III forum regarding a refraction/ghosting problem when lights are being viewed through the front windshield in certain new Prius: 2011 Prius - Windshield triples light source images | PriusChat

    There is a link to a Google Spreadsheet in this thread - please add your car to the list if you have this problem!

    The more people speak up and report this problem, the more likely Toyota will actually do something about it!

    Hahahaha. I love the reply.

    Saw one of Betty White's whatever it's called program about old people. One old guy with sunglasses and white cane asked a young guy to assist him to find his car, which the young guy did, then the old guy got in it and drove off. Young guy's jaw dropped and he just stared at the "blind" driver.

    The car the old guy got into was a convertible so I'm going to watch these threads for one where you advise, with pics, how to cut the roof off of a PiP. Then we'll know for sure that it was you, which I'm starting to suspect. :)

    Oh, and I've never noticed a ghost in the windshield.

    Yes, I have the problem. So far as I can tell, I see double, not triple image at night. The ghost image is below. Thanks for starting the thread.

    btw, what page (of 14 current pages) on the other thread is the google spreadsheet? That'd be helpful. Thanks!

    That is one of the side effects of getting older. Doc already told me that I'll need cataract surgery earlier than normal.

    Mine is very noticeable, and when the window isn't cleaned on the inside and outside it is much worse.

    after watching the ABC report and thinking about how insane it would drive me if that happened, I actually made it a point to look for this when i was driving at night yesterday. but try as i might, i could not see this in my car.

    Me neither. After seeing the video, I drove around the block to see if my windshield was defective. All the light sources appeared sharp and clear.

    My PIP was mfg in 6/2012- no problems w/the windshield as far as double/triple images at night.

    It's good to hear there are many who don't have the problem. That means it's definitely fixable. However there was at least one person in the main thread who had their windshield replaced and still had the problem - which is a bit concerning.

    For the last few months I thought my eye sight was starting to deteriorate. I've never worn eye glasses before so I just thought naturally I might be at that age. Eye exam last week confirmed my vision is still perfect. This thread makes me feel a bit more sane.

    My roommate has a 2012 Prius with the same problem.

    I think a lot of people who have the problem do not even realize it yet. After all, it is such a strange problem. And yes it certainly does make you feel like you have bad nighttime vision - most people are probably just like moshi and blame their own eyes first before realizing it's really the windshield's fault!

    Help get the word out folks!

    Yep, confirmed tonight. I was behind a corvette with 2 round leds and I saw six. Thought it was my old glasses now with my new ones it is even more evident. Got my PIP in september of '12.
