I have sent messages to Danny and reported a couple of posts and I've had no response and no changes.
Am I going to get an answer about enforcement of private sales policies and what I consider self-serving posts?
In my opinion someone should not be able to post promotional comments for their parts in other's threads, nor should they be able to sell multiples of the same part under the banner of private sales. As I read the rules it should be for the selling of privately owned individual parts.
I don't like the idea of someone disseminating questionable information that promotes their products. This hurts the credibility of information in the forums.

You have 47 posts. So, no one pays attention to you. Once you get up to 5 or 6 hundred then you might have something to complain about. On the internet you get what you pay for.

I have no idea what he is complaining about. He does not give an example, link to an example, or post screen name so one could search for an example.

It would make it hard to reply with any response except "Um. what are you talking about?"

I think it's Rude person's that he has issues with. He doesn't like him selling anything via Priuschat.

pcman, whose side are you on or are you just playing Devil's Advocate and stirring the pot?
The thread was posted in the Gen III forum, and you say yourself that the suspension is improved over earlier models. Gen III and newer versions, like my '13 v Five is what we were talking about, not older ones that could use some help.

Quotes from what Car and Driver said of the 2010: No more floaty little appliance gliding along the byways, either. The suspension is much tightened, with real anti-roll now and much firmer shock control. Specify the 17-inch wheels and 215/45 tires (yes, 45-series tires on a Prius), however, and watch the Prius take on a more spirited persona.
...the 2010 Prius with 17-inch wheels can be considered enjoyable in that ain’t-nothing-like-driving-a-slow-car-fast sort of way. The bundle of upgrades allowed us to maintain impressively high speeds along the tight, squiggly, and oddly cambered roads east of Napa; turn with grace (that is, no beeps and tugs from the stability control); and pull out of corners with surprising aplomb.
Although the twist-beam rear-suspension design continues, the ride is calmer and quieter, thanks to revised suspension components...
Edmunds said: "The Prius' new suspension and interior transform what has been a marginal cruising car into a touring delight. The ride, while not soft and bouncy, is compliant enough to spare your kidneys; the steering works with you, not against,..."
The Car Connection said: By far the biggest surprise with the new 2010 Toyota Prius is the amount of fun that you can have behind the wheel. The Los Angeles Times reports that the new Toyota Prius feels "lacquered with a bit more confidence and esprit," while the driving enthusiasts at Jalopnik claim that the 2010 Toyota Prius is "actually pretty fun to drive[IMG], at least when equipped with the optional 17-inch wheels."

Jalopnik: ..."is actually pretty fun to drive, at least when equipped with the optional 17-inch wheels.
Those wheels bring with them a quicker steering rack, firmer dampers and less efficiency-oriented tires. The result is a car that drives less like a rolling tub of Jello and more like you think a mid-size hatchback that hits 60 MPH in 9.8 seconds equipped with a Continuously Variable Transmission should. In fact, it's good enough we spent the majority of a day driving it on twisty Northern California roads, overtaking many, supposedly faster vehicles, and generally enjoyed harming the environment."

A friend who is an ex-racer of BMW's and a driving instructor, commented that my Prius seemed to handle well and the suspension was firmer than he expected. As I noted in the thread referenced above, I have raced cars and have owned many high-performance sports cars. I think the Prii I've driven handle quite well. For someone to promote their aftermarket parts within a thread and then sell multiple parts under "Private sales" is disgusting to me.
As I said, if you want to improve the car's handling, wheels and tires would be where to spend money first, then suspension components next. Frame stiffening stuff is more snake oil than not. Buy the stuff if you want, but the site should not be manipulated in this way by someone selling parts.

If you've reported the posts via the "report" button they have been reviewed and either addressed or ignored. In neither case will you get a direct response. If ignored, we've deemed them unwarranted. We are pretty strict around here with commercial sales things, but private sales we're more liberal. We appreciate the reports of questionable items, but please don't take it upon yourself to police them. We are pretty prompt (usually within minutes) of seeing and addressing reported posts and if a post you reported is not changed, we chose to ignore the report and feel the post is OK with our policy.

I read the thread out of curiosity.
    Interesting.
I was curious about what would cause somebody to publically admit that they popped a flair over the mods.
I guess I was expecting a hate crime, or inappropriate images, or threats.
I saw an argument concerning the handling prowess of a Prius Station Wagon.
    Wow.

Forums are an interesting medium. They have the spontaneity of a conversation with the durability of the written word---all without benefit of facial expressions ( or  is as close as you're going to get I'm afraid....)
I take a friendly swipe at the mods from time to time about their responses to this and that but in my more serious moments I've always lauded them for handling their beat very effectively. Turn on the TV or the radio and you'll quickly see that civility is hard to maintain even when you do benefit from eye contact and voice inflection. I think that this is a very good example of why they are called MODERATORS instead of censors.

Mods (and Danny) Great forum! Well moderated! BZ!

Thanks efusco for the comment. I'll try and be succinct about what I'm complaining about. It's not an argument about handling. It's about the integrity of the site. I think some don't get that. It's that I've sent Danny PM's and received no response to why private sales rules are not enforced in the case of Rude person's. He has openly advertised his parts for sale.
It's about Moderators allowing people with an obvious agenda to disseminate biased information in discussions for their own personal financial gain and whether enforcement of policies is good enough.
In my other automotive related forums these people are identified as vendors. You know they will be promoting their products and services; sometimes do it through goodwill and free advice in other people's threads. They walk a fine line of self promotion. Members often accuse them of arguing for the benefits of their products in deference of others. Some members actually know enough to make discriminating comments like that while others are hapless newbies sucked in by vendor claims.
I've run into similar ethical issues before in forums. There is the difficulty of moderating fairly and not wanting to run off people by being too strict or undiplomatic. Increasing hits and membership should be a goal of every forum owner. If you are too lenient, and have lowered the bar of acceptability too far, you may lose the more sophisticated or knowledgeable member. If you don't ban shills it can hurt credibility. Is anyone checking for multiple identities from the same IP address related to possible shilling? I understand that all this is not an easy task.

However, for me, allowing anyone to make self-aggrandizing comments like "When I can feel the difference between having and not having an improve chassis brace, just by feeling how the car goes over the drainage trough at the end of my driveway, the benefit is readily evident." and "After I installed the custom "box beam" center chassis brace that I designed, the flutter that caused this disconcerting "phanton" feedback that mimics loss of control, is gone." and "Mine is on the level of the expensive four point Cusco brace" and starting threads about how other competitor's parts can lead to chassis damage and all the while selling over a dozen parts, and then allow him to overtly advertise for free (and now mass producing them for sale at $129; up from $48)... leaves me disgusted.

I don't speak for Danny or the mods, but I was kinda hoping that thier efforts here in PC go a little bit deeper that just nickles and noses.
    I'm just sentimental like that.
I know that this site generates a revenue stream, but I'm not into the class warfare thing, and PC's P&L statements are none of my business.
The ethicasy of PC will either stand or fail on its own merit.
So will your (insert finger quotes) grievnace.

    ....just sayin! ;)
