    Thanks to numerous members on here that helped me along with the decision. I got a the package I want and within budget!

    One thing I wasn't prepared for is extended factory warranty. Did you guys get one?

    Also if you guys are looking for one in Bay Area, I think I have some good info to share.

    Extended warranty is not needed. Save your money.

    Congrats on your purchase! We plan to add another Prius to the stable next year ... most likely will be a 2014 hatchback.

    Congrats on your new baby!! This is my second and I just love the car. I agree about the extended warranty....just not necessary. Please post pictures.

    I just purchased a New Prius in November 2012 and a Month later my wife a 2013 Acura ILX Hybrid. If history repeats itself it will be 5-7 years before I do any new car shopping so maybe Gen 5 is my next car thus your right Gen 5 for me. Than at that time maybe something else may gather my attention. :)

    I thought the color was the most unique thing about the Persona. Is there much of a difference between the Personal and other trim levels?

    It's apparently a 3 with 17" wheels (with a premium finish), Softex® upholstery with dark red stitching, Softex® steering wheel with dark chrome accents and a limited selection of colors (black cherry pearl being unique to the Persona, blizzard pearl at extra cost and black). Unlike the 3 it doesn't offer the solar sunroof package.
    The Toyota online literature says that it has the power seats but apparently that isn't the case.

    Your new Persona looks great. Do like those wheels on the car. Someone take a picture of the interior in good light so we can see the stitching and different bright work, please.

    No Persona on lots up here so far... may go explore dealerships next weekend if the weather permits. Would go this week, but ski season is winding down and we have some snow in the forecast on Tuesday... so must use it up! Spring starts in less than three days.

    Its only been 107 miles but comparing my Persona with the "5" I rented for a day, I don't miss much. All the extras, HUD, 7.1" navi, JBL audio is no big deal IMHO. Actually I would be dissatisfied if I paid for the jbl system! With a good source, iPod or entune, system sounds very close to JBL.

    First fill up, $29.99 at 335 miles. Computer said 43.5mph but I calculated 44.6mpg. I think it will get even better after break-in period.
