Was turning around ( to the left, if it matters) in a parking lot the other day and the VSC, Warning lights came on. I stopped the car, turned it off, and restarted it. Upon restart, the VSC/ABS/WARNING/CHECK ENGINE lights all came on and the car would not go into gear. I could get it in neutral but that's as far as it would go. I borrowed a friend's Scan Gauge ( used to decipher codes in the vehicle's computer to diagnose it) to see what was going on. It showed no codes but asked me if I wanted to clear the codes, to which I replied "yes". After pushing yes, on the gauge, I turned the car on and it went right into gear. It has happened 3-4 times over the past day or so and still puzzles me as to what the issue is. Anyone else ever have this issue? I'm new to the forum and would appreciate any assistance/ ideas offered. Thanks in advance....

Are you sure you're operating the scangage correctly? If all those lights are showing up, there are codes somewhere. You need to find out what they are for us to help you. Otherwise we're shooting in the dark.

As far as I know, I am. I followed the instruction booklet to the letter. It is odd that no codes surfaced though. Have there been any recalls or such that would coincide with the symptoms?

None of the recalls I'm aware of, would coincide with those symptoms. I wish I could be of more help but, I'm not familiar with scanguage. There are plenty of people on this forum that are though and I would expect them to reply soon. The bottom line for me is two things:
    1) Those lights would not suddenly appear if no codes were present
    2) The scangage wouldn't ask you if you want to clear the codes if none were present (I don't think anyway)

At this point, I would be tempted to bring it to the dealer and have them read the codes.

The friend who I borrowed it from is going to make sure I was using it correctly.

Was out road testing a little while ago and figured out if I turn the wheel all the way to the left, I can male the vsc/ brake/ and warning light come on. Only when I make a left turn though. My friend had a similar issue which ended up being some pump for the hybrid system. Will keep you all updated.
