You ever get other Prius owner checking out your Prius?

If someone has the time to practice hypermiling, then they have plenty of time to practice this...

 

Ah yes this has all sorts of possibilities

 

Perhaps everyone on the forum could get Prius chat stickers. Then word would get out, people would see them, investigate the forum, and voila, next thing all Prii have stickers and we have a culture

In PA, one of the homes of Harley, all the bikers wave to each other. Why not us too, we can go worldwide!

 

I only scope out Prii of the same colour, don't know why, but it seems the blue ones are fairly rare around here....

 

Only when they are trying to find out which silver one in the San Diego parking lots is theirs.

 

In Northern Virginia, I am thinking about logging Prii in a notebook.
Prii are allowed to use some HOV if they have Clean Fuel license plates dated before 2011.
Clean Fuel plates after 2011 are not allowed on most HOV, however, Prii can use it if they transfered plates from an older hybrid. So I am trying to log in Gen2/Gen3 and who has pre-2011 Clean Fuels (HOV) plates. Our 2006 does not have Clean Fuels plates because we are not HOV users. It's a mess, but it seems many new Prii do not have Clean Fuels Plates (since HOV access is more limited).

So I have been checking out each Prius.

 

Pulled in to Starbucks parking lot and noticed Gen 3 and Gen 2 already parked. Their owners came out and were admiring my Performance Plus Wheels. We all started talking in the lot as a Prius V pulls in. The Gen 2 owner says you ever think when you were 17 you would be standing in a parking lot talking about Hybrids!

 

Here's something I probably shouldn't admit to.
I was at some lights today when a car pulled up on me left. I glanced over to see it was a Prius, or so I
thought. I looked at the woman driving and gave her a knowing smile and a nod. She smiled back.

The lights then changed and we moved off, at which point I noticed she was driving a Citroen arrrgh.
So from her point of view I guess I was either a nutter or was hitting on her. I just thank god I didn't
give her the live long and prosper sign

Note to self... be more observant in future

I had a Prius Plus try and race me the other day. Quite odd.

 

My partner just goes "Yes dear, that's nice dear." When I point out Gen Is, IIs, and IIIs.

I did have a guy ask me about mine this morning when I stopped at the convenience store to get my morning caffeine fix.

 

This is slightly off topic.... but I was getting ready to go outside today and I went to the front window to look outside and see what the weather looked like. As I got to the window, a guy in a gray camero was driving by and when he got in front of my house he slowed way down. He almost stopped completely to gawk at my gray Prius. He was in a gray camero.

 

Glad I'm not the only one whose SO thinks he's lost his marbles. I think she's starting to wish I bought a Camry or another Corolla due to the fact that since I bought the car, I've either been lurking on PriusChat or my nose has been in the owner's manual when I'm not behind the wheel.
