Has anybody else noticed at night that you can see through the edges of the glove box and see the amber light shinning? I guess the light stays on all the time? Not a big deal, just notice it from time to time.

I think it's only one when the headlights are on.

I don't see it because I have Priushoods glove box covers and the plug up the cracks around the glove box enough so I don't see the light.

    I really like them BTW.

I do wish there was a light in the center console.

That light is so you can read the manual. In the dark. In the glovebox. With the headlights on.

Actually, DanMan has indicated that the wiring schematics indicate a detector switch that would kill the light when the door is closed. Alas, that switch is not physically there and the light stays on forever much like your refridgerator light. Go figure.

My refrigerator light goes off when I close the door. Freezer section too. There's a switch in the door.

Most refrigerator and freezer switches are easily located by looking alongside the hinges of the door. :)

BTW, would have been nice with a similar (LED) light in the upper compartment also.

Has anyone heard of a way to (easily) do this? Preferably with the same amber lighting...

Easy. Get in the refrigerator and close the door. :D
