How is the tire pressure sensor works ?!

    hello priuschat ;

    2 weeks ago , i did some tire and brakes maintenance , when the dealer release the car wheel , i notes that no wire connected to any wheel components !! woow ! LOL i mean is it works as a wireless sensor ! how can the ECU knows if there a low tire pressure ?
