    I have tried it on my 2013 Prius Two using the odometer button
    hold technique and have not been able to get it to work. I may to
    try the ELM 327 OBDII Scan Tool to get it to work.

    I am not aware of a 'Odometer button hold' technique for any Gen 3 Prius.
    So far as I know, all gen 3's need a OBD II programmer (either yours or the dealers) to change the reverse beep from continuous to a single beep.

    I changed my sister's v3 last week with a Scangauge II.

    That won't work. There is a thread that shows you how to use a bluetooth obdII and the Android Torque app. Works perfect.

    Dealer did it for me for free when I went in for an oil change (free too). Only beeps once now, dealer said there is no way to completely get rid of the one beep.

    I also asked for the passenger seat belt warning to be disabled, but dealer said not possible.

    Three modes on the 2010 were three beeps, one beep and no beep. Dealer changed mine to one beep for free at the initial 1,500 mile checkup. I just told them my wife refuses to drive the car because the three beeps was so annoying. They considered that a good enough excuse do it while they already had it in diagnostic mode.

    The dealer disabled both the backup beep and seatbelt beeps for me upon delivery of the car.

    I want both changed, reverse beep and seatbelt. I'll settle for just reverse beep done.

    Both on page 596 in this document;

    Thanks, I will print this to the dealer and show them this. Looks like they were just blowing smoke in my nice person when they told me they can't disable that.

    "can't" is general.. perhaps due to legal reason but clearly it can be.

    Their exact words were "On the 2013 model they don't allow this to be disabled"

    so perhaps that is the case, "don't allow" is not same as "can't". G/L but seatbelt reminder is no big deal.. back up buzzer sure is!

    I would settle for changing the sound of the reverse alarm. That noise is HELL with my hearing aids. So painful I have to remove them to back up. What a nuisance.

    Excellent point, and one I've never considered regarding hearing aids. Volume for all of the car's "warnings" should be easily adjustable, or shut off completely, from the cabin by the owner of the darn thing:rolleyes:...
