steering lock when on dolly

    2013 prius c 3, i want to pull it on a dolly that requires the steering to be unlocked. can and how can this be accomplished. it has sks. if i put it in accessary mode, the manual says after 20 minutes the power will shut down to save the 12 volt battery. when the power is shut down does the steering wheel lock when it does? and if it does can this be bypassed. the steering has to be unlocked so the car can follow the dolly with out skipping the rear wheels.

    Find a way to tie a roe or strap between the steering wheel and the brake pedal. The steering in these cars doesn't lock.

    come to find out that only when you open the doors (any of them) to get out does the steering motor lock after the hybrid is turned off. the doors are the key. shut any door front,back, rear hatch it does not matter. therefore you cannot put it on a dolly unless it has a turn deck capability, if you leave the hybrid on and no activity the small battery will fail.only 60 minutes till it will power off and shut down.

    That's good to know. You could shut it down and then climb out through the window. :D This would leave the wheel unlocked and the car off.
