I live in Illinois, and my PiP is the first one the local dealership has seen. All they did was rotate the tires and do the multi-point inspection, but now the car won't charge. Any ideas on a setting they could have turned off during the inspection that could have caused this? I'd like to give them some hints on where to look, since they apparently don't know where to start. When I plug in the car, the orange plug light still turns on, so I know it's not the charger cord that's faulty.

Does it turn on and stay on? My dealer accidentally hit the charge timer on my mine when I got the car back. Their knowledge with the PIP is very limited.

No, it does not stay on. It turns off after several seconds. And I don't hear the low "whirring" sound that indicates charging.

Check the charging timer on the dashboard.

The behavior sounds exactly like the timer. Orange light comes on for a while, then goes out. The green timer indicator on the dashboard will be flashing.

When I first came home with my PiP I accidentally pushed that "clock" button when I was setting the time. I hadn't read the whole manual yet, so missed the part about the timer. I was getting seriously annoyed because:
    A) Setting the time with the clock button was doing very strange things (because it has nothing to do with setting the time)
    B) I couldn't get the car to charge
    C) The whole system kept turning itself off every few minutes because the car was in "Aux" mode and it does that to save battery.

So don't feel bad mikenancy1; same thing happened to me :) Luckily that was my longest period of frustration with my PiP. Then I found priuschat. It's been smooth sailing since then.
