As for fonts, it's not possible to set them from within the RRUIEditor.
But may be it's possible to override the fonts file in the I9\fonts folder.
If you do, you will have to use the same names because these names are hardcoded in manager.exe.
I never tried so I'm not 100% sure it will work; but it should because these are simple Windows font.
So arial*.ttf files are probably the ones you want to play with; msyth.ttf is the Chinese font.

Let us know if you succeed!

Hi Bulle - maybe you can help me out:

I am trying to move the displays for phone battery and field strenght available in VW Climate skins to a skin I modified. While extracting the values from VW climate skin works fine, RRUItool v0.9 crashes when I try to load my modified Seat screen. The error message says:

System.ArgumentException: The value 0 is not valid for emSize. emSize has to be larger than 0 and smaller or equal to System.Single.MaxValue.
    Parametername: emSize
at System.Drawing.Font.Initialize(FontFamily family, Single emSize. Font Style style, GraphicsUnit unit, Byte gdiCharSet, Boolean gdiVerticalFont)
at System.Drawing.Font..ctor(String familyName, Single emSize, FontStyle style)
    at RRUITool.RRUI.ReadUI()
    at RRUITool.RRUI.ReadBinaryFile()

I can send you the skin if you like to check it out - I was not able to upload it here.

Any help appreciated - thanks in advance!

    Regards
Ren001 (haveing been pointed to you via china rns board)

    Sorry about that.
So RR changed some fields which RRUITool didn't know about; I'll fix that.

So yes, please send me the skin via this board in a private message.
You can either zip the file or just rename it from .rrui to .zip; that will work I think.

logo.jpg Hi everyone! I've had my Prius for about a year and have been a voyeur of this site since about 2 weeks before then. With all the help I've gotten from here, I wanted to try and give back. Since this is my first post, I cannot link to my Skydrive account but you should be able to download this file and convert it to bmp if you want to use it. Thanks again for all of your (sometimes inadvertent) help!!

And I like the Metallic Blue Ribbon color a lot; fits my car.

    Thanks and welcome.

Just found another very easy way to test a new skin from an SD card.
You can also use this trick when you need to recover a unit who doesn't boot properly with a skin.

    Basically,

    1) copy an existing I9 folder to a SD card
    2) in the SD card I9 folder, rename the file manager.exe to start.exe
    3) then rename the SD card I9 folder to system.
    4) Reboot unit (if it can not find a valid UI, it will try to load the UI from the SD card )

This info is coming from the German Roadrover reseller so should be good.
    Here: http://www.china-rns.com/blogs/erebus/166-know-how-gui-boot-direkt-von-sd-karte-geeignet-fuer-i9-i10-gui.html

In other news, Roadrover is apparently releasing OS WINCE 1.68 with GUI 2.93.2.
The goal of this new update is to provide ASL (based on speed calculated from GPS).
    It is apparently somewhat working...
But the rest doesn't look very stable and there seems to be problems with GPS and TMC.

So probably better anyway to wait and see if the other issues will get resolved.

i don't have a Prius car but the tool for change language is very best an hopeful for me, but more functions in my model of car is not traduced.
In the diagnosis labels, for example, i can see only the status of function not the name, plip action door, set temperature value (°C °F) etc... and other info messagge like ESP On or Off, Break On or Off etc... (Id 776 777 778).
There is no way to export my lang.dll for my system?
Best regards and thank's for your work.

OK we have this UI; so you don't need to send the lang.dll file.
I will look into it and let you know.

Thank's a lot "Bulle". I use also the latest version 2.93.3 if you have check it.
I like to create my own skin but with roadrover RUI editor tool i have some difficult.
The first is to understanding what kind of app i can run in my system and what kind of "ID" i need to use.
Ther's a list of id function or a list of app compatible with my UI?
    More thank's for answering.
    :)

    Ok for 2.93.3.

As for the list of compatible apps for your unit, I do not know if there is such a thing.

This unit is running Windows CE 6.0 so all you have to do is to code a program (C++, etc.) or script (ex: Mortscript).
Mortscript has everything you need to build a prototype but the GUI and speed are limited.
