i recently had the inverter pump replaced under recall. it now makes a the pump noise even when I am driving. i hear it when car is not fully warmed. Back when it had the original inverter pump, it only made noise at startup and shut off.

    Is this normal?

    Thanks

The pump that you hear at start up and shut down is the coolant recirculation system pumping in and out of the thermos storage. The inverter pump has always run continuously whenever the car is in ready mode. Mine is still the original pump, and certainly not loud, but plainly audible.
