Try doing a search for footwell lights. I know others have installed some aftermarket kits on models that don't come with footwell lights from the factory.

I pulled the footlamp out to take a peak at it. This might be helpful to someone who needs to take it apart. See red arrows as those are the tabs that hold it in. Just need to gently spread holder and it's slides out.

You are aware that if you werent cheap on your 2007 package selection and would have went for a package 5 or 6 than you would have HIDs from the factory right?

Not being so cheap, my 2008 package 5 had stock HIDs and I have installed them in my 2012. I think I was flashed maybe 3x total for all cars. Either the quoted post is talking about an aiming problem or package-envy but either way it is full of mis-information.

On Gen2's were they projectors? were they just parabolics with autoleveling? I recall older HID lamps being from factory that way.

Anyone add auto leveler's with HID retro.

In the midst of the this is, due to the poor retrofit or misadjusted HID, I see more and more drivers with the high beams on intentionally! now that is annoying!

 

I never had a problem with the HIDs (factory) on my 2004. Cutoff and adjustment were both fine. Sorry, can't provide any detail on aftermarket auto levelers. My 2012 has the factory auto levelers but I still had to do a manual adjustment after putting on the performance springs.

 

Which Gen 3 has factory HID's? I thought only Halogens or LEDs but none came with HID.

 

My 2004 had factory HID. My 2012 has LED. Sorry for the confusion.

 

I installed Kensun HID 4300k about a week ago and since then I've never had any drivers flashing on me. I had once a 2010 Mazdaspeed3 with aftermarket HID (unknown brand, same 4300k) for 2 years and never had anyone flashing on me either. Comparing to my previous Infiniti G37 sedan and current G37 coupe's factory HIDs, these aftermarket HIDs in non-HID housings are pretty good!!!

There is an entire thread about this very same question for the 10-11 gen 3 prius. I'm not 100 % sure but I think the auto lights are only available on the 12-current prius 4 & 5.
