I installed the Plug in supply add on battery this week. Wow, now getting over 27 ev miles. 28.1 on one trip. no engine at all on all my local commutes. It is only in temporarily, I could not wait to try, until full install. No problems. Still making changes to optimize the system, and I think I can get 30 miles when done. I don't know if I got a special price for being the first car, but it cost under $4000. I am keeping track of data.

Hey Jim, I am truly interested. Can you shoot photos and describe the hookups, process?

Did you do the build yourself or have it shipped?

I'd appreciate real life comments about how easy this add-on is to live with in the cargo area once you have that experience. How does it affect seats-down operation with more bulky cargo? Is it removable and if so, how much pain does it cost in skinned knuckles & Saturday time to remove / reinstall?

I am really interested as well but I'd like to better understand the livability quotient with decreased cargo space.

27 - 30 miles EV would be awesome.

I will sent photos soon, after I change from temp install to permanent. When permanent, only hv wire to unplug and battery management wire to unplug, then lift out 2 battery boxes, about 44 lbs each.

Since the car drives great the way I have it now, I will wait until I get caught up on the work that earns me money. Probably a week or two. Photos are coming to show how it is now.

I just looked at my original post. I would like to mention that the battery is not 4 kw like I originally thought, but a little more than 3kw for the added Ev miles. That is why it weighs less. And I got another trip today of 25.2 ev miles with 2.1 ev miles indicated as still left. But I actually get more than what it indicates now that the ad-on battery is installed.
Another interesting development is that before when I would fully charge the car it would indicate around 12 ev miles. Since I have been driving with the add-on battery it has gone up to 15.1 as of today's last charge. I have no idea what this means because I actually get about double what it first indicates, but interesting just the same. Any thoughts on this by anybody?

I have been driving about 20 mph to work and my EV range has gone up to 12.7 EV but my trip odo maxes out at 15.4 miles, if I keep driving 20 mph, EV will catch up eventually, give it more time to average out

Any update on this? Did the cold winter decrease the miles?

last time i spoke with jim, system was working beautifully and winter had no efect on range at all. a number of people have done the conversion since then, and the prices keep coming down and the kits get simpler and easier to install. - not.
