Okay, strange tale. I got this car almost-new, and I'm at about 5300 miles. My radio reception has always been poor, and I recently discovered it's because the antenna extension is missing.

A quick call to a Toyota dealership yields a quote of $50 for a new one. I doubt this is covered by my warranty (maybe it was stolen). I was thinking about purchasing a non-OEM replacement on eBay or at an auto-parts store.

If anyone has any recommendations for or against getting a replacement antenna, I'm all ears.

    Thanks in advance!

The antenna is VERY easy to remove (or steal).
If you are in an area where it is likely to get stolen again, you might consider either not replacing it (if you don't listen to much radio), getting satellite radio, or simply removing the antenna when not in use.

In fact, Sigma is one of PC's sponsors and have several styles of antenna for sale (if you want to be more fancy).

Thanks everyone. I'll take a look at the Sigma antennas.
