Has anyone received a CA Green HOV Sticker yet?

Welcome to the forum. FYI, if you look at the bottom of each post in a thread, you'll find the date on which it was posted. For example, "elmofongo" posted in March, 2012 about the availability of the HOV lane stickers. Lots of old threads and posts gain life again and get updated from time to time.

 

So have you received your stickers? I hope so! If so, when did they show up?

 

I haven't received mine yet, but I did see that my $8 check was deposited on March 20th.

 

woah, that's crazy. they are now at 2-month turnaround times?

 

I just called them again as I think my app has fallen through the cracks somewhere.
She said that as of today they are working on apps received on Feb. 25th.
So they're over a month but far from two months for turnaround time.

And in my case she asked for my tracking number since she doesn't have my name/car in the system -- I'll have to try to find that and call back tomorrow.
(In my best two year old tantrum voice: Argh. Impatient! Want my stickers! Now!)
But she was very nice and quick to answer / look up my info even though I called at 4:58pm

 

Still haven't received the stickers. However, my mail is currently being forwarded from my CA address to my AZ address, and this is likely what's causing the delay.

 

So. I know you all like to be kept up to date on my stickers or lack thereof.

Today I called back with my USPS tracking number & discussed the situation. They explained that when my form arrived it first went to the regular DMV office to get my registration fixed. Then at some point, the firms are routed back to the special processing office. At that point my form returns to the bottom of the pile. No idea when that happened -- if it was today, they may not get to me for another 6 weeks or so ...
Just to be "safe" I sent a second copy of the form to them today (as advised by the person on the phone).
That's my update.

 

So I mailed out the application on Feb 7th, and still no sight of the stickers. I called the special processing unit, and they said that my application was processed on March 24th. I'm in a more unique situation since I need to have the stickers forwarded to my address in AZ, so I'm wondering if the stickers got lost or stolen in transit. Anyway, looks like I'm going to have to reapply now...

 

You'll probably want to apply for replacement stickers instead of new ones. Should hopefully speed up the process.

 

I mailed my application on March 4 and my $8 check was cashed on April 15. Hopefully I will get my stickers soon.

 

Here is my timeline:

March 4: Mailed my application
April 15: $8 check was cashed
April 17 (today): Stickers received in mail!

Just mailed out the application for my replacement stickers today. Hopefully no issues this time!

 

Mail my app on March 12 and finally got my green stickers today.
Interesting that the check has not been cashed.

 

Just received HOV decals, much sooner than expected.​

Purchased car - March 22nd​

Received license plates (21 days) - April 12th
Mailed in California clean air vehicle application for HOV decals - April 13th
Received HOV decals (14 days) - April 27th

 

Yup, check cashed early last week and got the stickers on Friday! Looks like having a cashed cheque is a good indicator of when the stickers are about to be issued...
