Yes, I was speaking of over the counter. And yes, Vegas is much worse than LA...One summer just outside Vegas, it was 110F at 9pm!(n)

Thanks for this. I must say I'm quite tempted.

I wear contact lenses. So I can't really take them out and put them in the glasses holder anyway. And if I were driving in my glasses and took them off to put them in there, I would crash.

In Sydney in summer, the risk of your glasses delaminating if left in that holder isn't such a concern. If you park in the sun for a few hours and then get straight into the car, your eyes will delaminate.

I just got my 2010 about 2 weeks ago, after 6 years and 190,00 miles on my gen II. I love it, looks way better, has lots more options, but my mpgs are not as good as the 2005. Maybe it's the tires, or maybe we need to change our driving habits.

I was hoping to get another year or two from the 2005 as our second car, but it broke down a week after I decided not to trade it in. Now my husband wants to fix it and sell it "before something else goes wrong."

What is wrong with the gen II? 6 years 190k miles is good, but have you had any major repairs? Just curious bc wanna know what to expect from my first hybrid.

We didn't have any problems until recently, when the inverter pump went out, it was under a recall, so no cost. Then we had to replace the brakes and the 12 v battery, cant complain they both lasted way longer than a regular car. Now the water pump went out and the belt broke. When they were replaced it won't start, hoping it's the new battery, which is under warranty. Overall it has been a very good investment.
