The wiper is a standard 19" wiper and is drilled for the second arm. Its one of the reasons we offer the 'kit' asit requires some precision work.

Not sure if your device somehow did not display the other questions addressed to you or if you just ran out of time to answer them. For your convenience, here they are again...

Tried that and the arm never contacted the paint tho itcould. Hopefully you'd turn off the wiper park and reset it. We have used it for longer than 30 minutes without it coiming off. Don't know if suction cup would damage paint; the ones on our race cars have not damaged the paint.

Hasn't so far and on a thousand mile trip to a wedding in the rain and back it never came loose. Took 7 hours each way to cover 445 miles at 47 mpg. Included a lengthy stint on the WV turnpike. never failing to make the speed limit.

14 hrs! What about 1 month , 6 months from now. Suction cup always leaks and comes loose over time. What happens when it comes loose and hits the window frame and scrap off the paint.

If the suction cup never came loose, how do you know it didn't mark the paint?

14 hours is apparently the standard for wear tests. Are you telling me that you would have given a second thought to buying a Prius if Toyota had only tested the HV battery for 14 hours or 445 miles?

We've had the opportunity to drive about 80 miles in heavy rain and the wiper wiped the window without failing, the suction cup didn't come loose, and th wiuoper worked great. Speeds up to 70 mph. Didn't have to be concerned with traffic coming from behind; nobody caught up.

We have a kit that has the extension for the existing arm (you need to drill the arm for riveting), the wiper, the fittings, additional arm and suction cup for $60. If we supply the extension already riveted to an arm and you send us your OEM arm the cost is $66 with a $30 deposit on the arm. In that case it comes assembled so all you have to do is take the OEM wiper arm off and install the modded one and place the suction arm on the back.
And a set of instructions and spare parts list that includes sources at Lowes or Home Depot.

For $10 you can have just thge parts list, instructions to assemble, and you can get the parts yourself hacksaw, drill, rivet, and bend as indicated and make your own. I'll even include a suction cup because they're harder to get.

Re-install the headrests and that new wiper is as useless as the OEM one.

and a hybrid battery is a lot more imoportant than the wiper. I did go pop the suction cup off just now and the paint appeards fine. At least I rubbed it and nothing scarred the paint. Thats not to say it won;'t in a year or two. Nobody ever said shade tree engineering is akin to automotive engineering. If I were still in automotive engineering the rear window wip would be a lot more sophicatred and the hige would be in the deck. Mickey mouse is what happens when the factory hasn't time to address the issue directly. I think I'll stick a MM decal on the wiper hinge to match. If I did it with the factory your C would cost $199 more.
As a matter of interest autotive manufacturers would not use suction cups but if they did it would be at least a year test. Perhaps we'll see about putting the suction cup on the glass but that doesn't appear promising.
    cheers.

So how come the entire window between the head rests are now clear? the OEM is a portion. Any of course if you lay the backs down all of the rear windoiw is visible.

Incorrect. The OEM wiper doesn't cover completely between the head rests while this one does. In any case fold down the seatbacks if thats a concern.

What I said is true. If the rear headrests are installed the full motion of the "new" wiper is still useless and that wiper is hideous.

I wouldn't say useless... it will still give you the entire area that is visible... which is something the current wiper doesn't do... but it is goofy looking.

Well, I wouldn't say goofy but 'mickey mouse' absolutely. Thats why you can't get a close look at our race cars.
Effective yes, mickey mouse yes. And my shop foreman says we can't do more work because racers come first so soon as I can I'll post photo or vid and parts list so anyone that wants can make one.

Mickey Mouse is quite goofy, but Goofy is no Pluto... two dogs one walks and talks one doesn't... what's up with that?

If you are worried about suction cup coming off, then use 3M VHB or Gorilla mounting tape, it's double sided and it will hold up to 30 lbs and it can be removed with a string cutter, ( nylon string between two handles) and then vhb is rubbed off. I used VHB mounting my ham radio under the dash, no holes drilled
