I'll throw the gaunlet back with my own. Show me your combined mph and average speed for at least 100 miles not on mostly downhill trips (see PS note) and I'll be impressed. Here's my offering: 445 miles in 6:54 at 47.6 mpg including the West Virginia Turnpike, verified by log-ins. Thats a combined 64.18 mph times 47.6 mpg for a total of 3055 score.
C'mon, lets see what you have. Anybody can putter around and get 60 mpg; I even got 99.9 plus mpg traveling Hendersonville SC to Bat Cave, NC.
PS For those who don't know its downhill the whole way and the latter part you can drop the clutch and break the speed limit handily as we proved with a Honda non hybrid. It got 99.9 plus too.
For the bicycle hybrids the best I see is 86.1 mpg times 27 mph for a score of 2325. So far behind you're not in the same time zone. Let me know when you strap on track shoes, pilgrims. Then show us what you've got.

cheers, troops, its all in fun; Prius C owners have more grit; its what you have to have when your car is pronounced Prissy. You grow long fangs and you take no prisoners.

Taken over one fill up (29.2L distance 658.5km indicated 22.7 km/L)
    Calculated FC = 22.55km/L @ 4.43L/100km @ 53MPG, (MYR0.08/km @ USD0.03/km)

And i love my Prius, i can drive it any way I want and still gets at least 20km/L (47MPG) ;)

That (avg. speed) doesn't work well for most people since most people don't travel 500+ miles non-stop. Stopping and idling really drops average speed. Hell sitting in a drive through for 5 minutes will tank average speed. :)

    But since you asked.

Our cars have only been out a year, too. Give us a little more warm weather and we are going to improve. :) Although, that is a lot of Gen 3s on there...

Please add how many "fingers" were received during each record tank. I'm sure it's a positive correlation with increase in mpg.

Pay me a dollar and you can flip me off. I would welcome it.

all jokes aside...I tried to stay very courteous during my best run and don't believe I probably pissed any drivers off that aren't already extremely bitter and would find anything to get mad at anyway.

That's my mindset too. I only said this because I was flipped off for no reason today, and the B almost clipped me deliberately when passing me.

If you read the thread, pretty much everyone on the list feels the same way. We try to be courteous to others but I will not allow myself to be intimidated and forced to speed. :)

F8L, I've probably got a couple of tanks that could be on that list. I've had over 63 actual before (this is indicated, right?). Check out my history in my sig if you want to update with C's. I always have the indicated mpg in the notes.

You know I have to drive to work though, right? On the FREEWAY??? lol

:p My commute is freeway too. I got my big number tank by doing a long session of pulse & glide. My normal tanks would have been in the low to mid 60s otherwise.

I see the tanks but according to the rules you have to verify with a picture and post it in the thread. So get another one above 63.1mpg and I'll get you on the list! :)

On my fuelly.com and my cleanmpg 2013 Spring fuel efficiency challenge mileage log for my 2010 Prius III -

I went on a 621 mile superhighway trip from May 2 2013 -11am to May 3 2013- 4:30am on one tank of 10.144 gallons of 87 octane 10% ethanol gas where I averaged 61.3 mpg with my tank's HSI average consecutive speed was 52 mph (top speed highway speed of 75 mph and an estimated lo speed 50 mph).

My route started at a Freestate gasoline station in Germantown, Maryland and ended in at a Speedy gas station in Grand Rapids, Michigan. My route tracked westbound on I-270N, I-70N, I 76W, PA turnpike (from Breezewood to OH turnpike ), Oh turnpike ( I-80, exit @ Toledeo), I-70N, (Michigan), I-475W, I-23N, I-96W, Michigan 11 (28th Street, Grand Rapids, MI). In PA/OH/MI the PSL frequently was 70 mph cars, 60 mph trucks, 55 mph minimum. Construction site segments speeds were from 55 mph to 45 mph. If one excludes the service roads to get to and from the gas stations then 100% of the miles of this tank were superhighway miles. I got stuck in a traffic jam and crawled around at 10 mph on the OH turnpike (due to construction) twice - I had to time shift ( wait until rush hour was over) to avoid the traffic jams along the OH turnpike.

I couldn't open your links so I don't know whether to congratulate or not. Of course, if the 98% freeway is level, aka San Diego, then I add a degree of difficulty to my score ; the WV Turnpike is no place for high mpg. Between the curves and 5% elevation changes its a real challenge to get good mpg. The best hope is to never change speeds. Hold a constrant 70 mph. Yeah, close to driving the autobahn in Bavaria.
