After a year of stuffing the inside of the v with longboards (including a 10fter that went right up to the windshield, I finally installed some racks. Inno brand bare roof racks. I had the Inno boardlockers on the rack for a week and watched the MPG drop quite a bit, from 44 to 37. Pulled off the boardlockers and the MPGs are back up around the 43-44 range, per the on board computer.

Fairing might help but since I declined to spend the extra $20 on the fairing when I bought the racks, I don't see myself spending $70 for it now. My loss. kick self. LOL. I'm using the strap method. But will run boardlockers for longer trips. Nat Young rips, both of them!
