    I would wait on the actual theory even to be introduced ... and some attempt that the "gases" are actually present in any measurable amount, and if any actually detected, is that level could have any potential affect ... :D

    Until then mostly any fruit probably do more damge than the fumes from the battery ...:(

    they've been around since i was a kid. used to be a box with a pump that sat on the counter. you filled it with water and plugged it in. there was a tube to the brush. now, it's a hybrid!:p hand held, pump and tank enclosed, rechargeable battery. you can get them at cvs, walgreen, etc. 9 out of 10 dentists recommend them.(y)

    okay. the issue isn't so much the teeth, but the smell - and it is that that i don't trust. if i could change the thread title i would.

    you have a point about the fizzy drinks

    even if i have shopping in the car for a few hours, or a cloth, it takes on this smell

    the smell that is in the cabin in this car, that was in my last prius too . and i'm really wondering what it is. it smells sulphury, and electrolytey. very sharp. and a bit of sulphuric acid (from my chemistry class memories).

    the issue is primarily the smell, rather than one's teeth. although you are very correct about the fizzy drinks.

    if i leave anything in the car, it ends up taking on that smell after a few hours. other ppl seem to have reported this issue too

    Really? Seriously?

    No, my Prius does not have a smell, and my teeth are fine.

    You might try improving your diet, however.

    I would hesitate to state that directly. I was going to suggest not to use recirc air and improve diet.

    Also, cheap high sulfur diet can produce unbelievability bad smell if one pushes the gas pedal hard enough.
