Two more Qs, how did the white match up, and did you use a reg. hair dryer or an actual heat gun.

The colour match looks pretty good, pretty spot on.

I just used a regular hair dryer, a heat gun would blister the paint.

Just got mine in today, and damn its gonna be a lot of bending. Im assuming you heated/bent and stuck as you went. I think im gonna add more 3M tape to make sure i have no issues with it unsticking in the hot FL weather.

I got mine today as well, and wow, the spoiler looks straight as an arrow! The color matches well, it does bend, but bending it to the contour of the sides of the trunk seems almost impossible. I emailed the seller to confirm the piece is made for the Gen III Prius just in case. I could take it to a body shop to get it done "professionally" of course, but I just can't figure out another way to get it to fit as it did on that picture, with the spoiler bent around the edges oh so perfectly.

If anyone in NJ wants to give me a hand of course...

I don't understand why the seller can't design it to conform to the contour rather than straight on. It's cast out of a mold, isn't it?

All of these spoiler types are made out of rubber and when cold they are rather stuff, it is surprising once heated how much they will bend when heat is applied to them.

I started at 1 end and stuck it, then got the hair dryer on it and worked it along and around, was fine and took me about 10 mins to do.

You can buy custom ones that are bent perfectly but they are $250 I painted and sit on the end of the spoiler not on top.

A friend of mine has a 5 series BMW, got it from the dealer and is basically the same think but because its an M design one was about $1000, he was rather miffed when I said I spent $50 on delivered from Taiwan and was painted!

Got it installed finally! With the help of my brother, and an unusually hot day, we had the lip spoiler installed and it looks fantastic. We didn't use a hairdryer, since I had left the spoiler inside the car for 2 days, so it was pretty flexible due to the heat. Anyway, highly recommended. Thanks again

Looks great! It's so surprising how much it can bend once heated isn't it! Looks like you got yours sitting perfect.

Ok due to the extreme bending at the edges the spoiler came loose due to the hot summer heat here in FL. Has anyone else had this issue. Im gonna redo the tape and add more, It really does turn to jelly in the heat. I put it on the roof of my car for 10 min and it bent so easy. Really looks nice too just pissed that after you bend it it doesnt retain the shape.

Luckily here in the UK we don't get weeks and weeks worth of super hot weather so had no problems. When fitting I added some extra super strength tape that seems to stick anything to anything and had no issues.
