This is exactly the same situation - maybe even more so... <_<
Contact Edward (PM Aerometer) from Sigma. You can order the OEM switch online. He's only received one so far, though. It might take a little while.
Or, if you prefer something less obvious than a dashboard button, you can order the Coastal mod. If they have it in stock, you'll probably get it in a couple of weeks. If not, then ???
Either one will work. I understand that there are a few people who might even have both.
    Good luck. :D

I think I'm going to pass on this. My dealer isn't going to install a switch with instructions from someone at Priuschat, even though they might be accurate. He wants official Toyota instructions. Thanks for all the help.

Are there any other dealers around you?

My Toyota dealer has installed the factory mod on a friends car, so I know that some will do it.

Also, the Coastal mod comes with very detailed instructions.

Does the dealer want actual Toyota "complete instructions" or merely official Toyota documentation that the proposed wiring is correct? The non-US manual would include EV button wiring for the latter case.

That's going to depend on the use. For some the mileage will go down simply because the ICE will have to run longer to charge the battery up. If it's done right there may be some improvement, or just a bit. Just don't think of it as a guarantee of improving mileage.

There are many dealers around this area, but for the ones that I've talked to, they won't install it unless they have complete Toyota instructions on how to install it.

I don't like Coastal's mod, I'd prefer an EV Switch in the slot that it was designed for, so I'll pass.

    Thanks,
    Scott

Well I already had EV mode, I just upgraded my El cheapo switch to the factory switch.

And Yes, it does slightly improve MPG if you use it right. I use it to accelerate from a stop for the biggest MPG improvement.
