My v replaces a perfect, low milage, trouble-free 2005 Prius that was totaled by a dolt who believed stop signs were only suggestions.

Replacing a '08 BMW 335i Sedan. Quite a shift but priorities have change. Leaving a smaller carbon footprint and practicality resonate more w/ us now.

BUT, we both grieved when we left the bimmer at the dealership.

btw, didn't know the 335i was considered a 'compact car' till now, lol.

Replaced a BMW M3 Convertible manual transmission. Nice driving car but the mystery of wondering how much I would be spending at the shop for the next repair soon wore out quickly. I have a few extra grey hairs over that.

The peace of mind that comes from knowing I'm driving a reliable car that also gets great fuel economy? Now that's priceless!

Replaced a Toyota Tacoma 4dr pre-runner that was totaled by a guy who ran a red light and
hit me. It was a great truck but I was ready for something new with better mpg.

Replaced a 2005 Buick Rainier (rebadged Trailblazer). 15mpg average and constant repairs of little stuff.

    Weekend toy

A few under hood mods has it running the quarter in the high 10's
and getting 10mpg cruising around town...

Should be picking up my new v tomorrow night. Will be replacing my beloved 2002 VW Passat Wagon. I'll be sorry to see it go, but it is time. I'm really excited about the v though! Thank you to everyone who makes this site a useful tool for people like me who knew nothing about this car a week ago!

My v replaced a 2007 Honda CIvic. The Civic's engine block cracked, due to a known defective block problem with the 2006-2008 Civics.

Correction: Finally picking up my new v tonight! It was difficult for the dealer to find a 5 with the ATP and a bisque interior. Can't wait...

My new Barcelona Red 2013 Prius v is replacing my '07 Prius 2, not really though, the '07 is going to my college-age daughter who is replacing her 1997 Ford Escort Station Wagon.

The v replaced a '91 Corolla wagon with 200,000+ miles that got 41mpg on the highway. Wanted to get a vehicle that was versatile and fuel efficient. Very pleased we waited for this car.

BMW 750i. It was a beautiful car, but a headache - and ached the wallet at the gas pump- since day one.

So glad to be back in the Prius family again. Had a 2005 hatch some time back.

1994 4Runner which I've owned since then. It's still in excellent condition, garaged, and rarely driven. That power rear window shall be missed; driving down the freeway, air flowing smoothly through the windows out the back... it's a beautiful thing. The straight roof rack up top has held furniture, lumber, and kayaks. I needed to replace it because I just don't have the space and my folks are having a hard time climbing into it, otherwise I'll take my Miata everywhere.

Replaced a 2011 Mitsubishi Outlander sport. Totally trouble free and capable of decent fuel economy at reasonable speeds on the freeway (around 35mpg). However, the rear door openings were tight when trying to load my 3 year old in and out of the car and it basically had no features or toys. The wife just got a new vehicle so the deal was I was able to go shopping as well. Getting used to the overall steering feel (or lack of it) in the v. Some strut or chassis braces might be in the future to see if it could tighten things up a bit.
