engine shutting off a little rough occasionally

    I have a 2006 with 142k miles. Sometimes when the engine shuts off, its not as smooth as it used to be...any thoughts?

    "Tune up" can mean a lot of different things.

    What's to tune up on these cars anyway? ... spark plugs, PCV valve, intake filter, throttle body/MAF cleaning

    My '07 with 73K miles occasionally has rough seeming engine starts and stops but not enough to worry me. Could be as simple as cold starts or different gas blend. If the engine becomes rougher or the roughness happens more frequently then I might wonder if there's an issue.

    plugs and filters seem like a likely place to start at 142,000 miles
