Hi all! Firstly, it's bee a LONG time since I last posted, nice to be back.:)

I just picked my car up from the dealership (just a routine oil change, tire rotation, state inspection) and as I was leaving the service rep said that the next time I come in I should do the recommended "inverter coolant flush and fill" service. I told him that as far as I knew that's a big no-no, that it is drain and fill only. He shrugged and said that's what Toyota recommends.

Has Toyota changed their stance on the inverter fluid in the last year, or was this guy blowing smoke?

Welcome back! :) Could the service rep be confused and read "inverter coolant pump recall" as "inverter coolant drain and fill"?

    Thanks Patrick!

I'd have felt a little better if he had said "drain and fill" instead of "flush and fill".
